OK, I haven’t updated the blog recently because I thought moving these pages over to GoDaddy would be a snap. The only thing that is going to snap is me. A techie said he would look it over but it ain’t happening today.
So… I wanted to give a shoutout to Purina Cat Chow. The company is supporting Susan G. Komen for the Cure by honoring the role of cats in healing, while donating more than $200,000 to the cause.
The piece is called Videos of Hope. The recurring theme is how the unconditional love of cats reassured three women through tears, pain and uncertainty. Cats don’t understand the word cancer but they instinctively sense when something is wrong. Some never leave their humans’ side; others will gently extend a paw like a person would try to hold your hand. All these cats “knew” their love and comfort was a step toward weathering a life-threatening storm.
About 1.3 million women will be diagnosed with breast cancer annually worldwide about 465,000 will die from the disease, according to the American Cancer Society. Until there is a cure, let us do what we can to help and encourage every means of support to boost survival rates.
Sometimes that support has four legs and purrs.
